Nos quedamos una noche, después de hacer el tour de cerro encantado El lugar es pequeño con solo dos habitaciones pero esta equipadas con todo lo necesario La cama esta perfecta al menos de la habitación  ( casa de la piscina ) que fue en la que nos quedamos, La piscina por cierto aunque no la usamos por el clima se veía limpia y agradable en el lugar hay varios animales y muchos perros muy limpios y educados Lo recomiendo al 100 % El único punto en contra es el internet si bien había en todas las áreas en nuestra habitación no y al no tener tampoco recepción de celular se agradecería tener internet, saludos

Here is my Review: I landed in Costa Rica at 9pm and Heiko and Yasmin drove to pick me up and bring me safely to their Hazienda. BIG brownie points for that. At breakfast the next day the ice broke and the trip started getting better and better. I was there in the rainseason yet we had moments where it was good to trail ride (check with Heiko first as you should be intermediate/advanced) and when it rained they showed me round the local spots and all. I LOVED it and left part of my heart over there as I love nature and the remoteness. 4 stars only if you are looking for hustle and bustle. Hacienda Sassenberg was such a delight. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, the rooms were very clean and spacious. We awoke in the morning to the sounds of roosters and were able to enjoy the beauty view and visit the animals before breakfast. Guinea pigs and bunnies included! Breakfast was absolutely delicious, a wide variety of fresh fruit, local ingredients, coffee and even chocolate milk for the kids. Will definitely try to return for a longer stay.

Wir erlebten einen wunderschönen Urlaub bei unglaublich bemühten Gastgebern. Wir hatten das Golden Hill Programm gebucht und erlebten 12 tolle Tage auf der Hacienda Sassenberg. Unser Ferienhaus war mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr sauber und schön. Das gemeinsame Frühstück, sehr abwechslungsreich und von der Dame des Hauses selbst zubereiteten, war immer lecker und ein erster kleiner Höhepunkt des Tages. Anschließend traf man sich am Stall. Auch hier ist alles sehr ordentlich und gepflegt. Am ersten Tag fand ein Kennenlernen aller Zwei- und Vierbeiner statt und ich konnte in Ruhe und unter der fachkundigen Aufsicht Heikos mein Pferd kennen lernen. Auch die Pferde sind allesamt top gepflegt und in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Auf meinem, mir zugeteilten Pferd fühlte ich mich schnell wohl, denn es war wirklich gut ausgebildet und super erzogen. Und so erlebten wir jeden Tag tolle Ausflüge und konnten die außergewöhnliche, vielseitige Landschaft Costa Ricas kennen lernen. Wir ritten zu einem Wasserfall, wo man auch Baden und sich anschließend von Sonne wieder trocknen lassen konnte. Erkundeten verlassene Mineneingänge und genossen den unbeschreiblichen Ausblick über die Hügel bis ans Meer. Die Tour im Nebelwald war auch etwas ganz besonderes. Wir durchquerten Flüsse, ritten über eine Hängebrücke und bewunderten viele Besonderheiten, die die Natur von Costa Rica zu bieten hatte. Ein ganz besonderer Wunsch wurde mir in diesem Urlaub ebenfalls erfüllt: Heiko und Yasmin scheuten keine Mühen und organisierten für uns einen Ausflug mit den Pferden am Meer. Wir galoppierten kilometerweit am Strand entlang und ritten mit unseren mutigen Pferden in die Wellen. Es war unbeschreiblich. Was diesen Urlaub aber auch zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht hat, waren die Leute und deren Herzlichkeit, die wir auf der Hacienda Sassenberg kennen lernen durften. Mein Freund erlitt leider kurz vor unserem Urlaub einen Unfall und konnte deshalb nicht selbst aufs Pferd steigen. So organisierten Heiko und Yasmin kurzerhand einen motorisierten Ausflug für uns und kauften extra einen Fernseher für unser Ferienhaus. Auch auf die gemeinsamen Abendessen freute ich mich jeden Tag. Mal gingen wir essen und erlebten die unverfälschte kulinarische Seite Costa Ricas oder Yasmin kochte für uns und wir saßen noch lange auf der Veranda zusammen und genossen den Sternenhimmel bei einem Glas Wein. Alles in allem was es wirklich toll für uns und wir sind sehr dankbar für diese tolle Zeit und die vielen wunderbaren Erinnerungen, die wir mitnehmen konnten. In diesem Fall stimmt der Satz "Wir kamen als Gäste und gingen als Freunde" zu 100% und ich hoffe sehr, wir sehen uns wieder.

Sehr schön gelegene Hacienda in den Bergen mit Blick bis zum Meer, schöner Pool, großzügige Zimmer mit Terrasse und Kühlschrank, sehr nette, bemühte Gastgeber, liebe, trittsichere Pferde und schöne Ausritte auf Wanderwegen in die Bergwelt der Umgebung. Super Frühstück:-)

Nicht jeder liebt es zu schwitzen und braucht Strand. Hier ist man in einer Gegend, wo man immer grüne Natur um sich findet, mit einem 30 min. Ritt im Nebelwald ist und erfährt, wie die Einheimischen wirklich leben. Liebevoll gestaltete Unterbringung, die Gastgeber frühstücken mit ihren Gästen gemeinsam und Heiko ist erfahrener Reiter.
